McGrath drafts Dolan in

Ireland manager Pete McGrath is banking on a stellar performance from Westmeath forward Dessie Dolan in tomorrow's second International Rules Test in Melbourne.

Dolan claimed an All-Star last year and finished the 2004 Rules Series as Ireland's top scorer with 15 points in each Test, but was surprisingly omitted from McGrath's matchday panel for last Friday's 2005 Series opener against Australia.

As expected, Garrycastle clubman Dolan, along with Laois sharpshooter Ross Munelly and Tyrone duo Ryan McMenamin and Philip Jordan, have been drafted into McGrath's 23-man squad for tomorrow's clash at the Telstra Dome.

Kerry's Eoin Brosnan, Galway tyro Michael Meehan and Tyrone forwards Brian McGuigan and Owen Mulligan, who, between them, scored just one point in last week's 100-64 defeat in Perth, are the players to be dropped.

Mulligan was the only one of the quartet to start the first Test.

Tomorrow's clash throws-in at 10.45am Irish time. The Australian referee for the tie will be Mathews James, who former Irish manager Colm O'Rourke claimed was "blatantly biased" in the first Test.

The GAA are swapping match officials - Cork's Michael Collins will replace Meath man David Coldrick as Ireland's referee.
