The Easterners trounced Connacht 1-25 to 0-10 in Loughrea, with James Young of Laois scoring 12 points.

Munster easily saw off Ulster 0-24 to 1-13 at Casement Park, after it being level at half-time.

In camogie's Leinster Club Final, St Lachtan's of Freshford have seen off Wexford's Oulart-The Ballagh 3-11 to 0-8.

And in today's county finals, James Stephens beat the Ballyhale Shamrocks 1-18 to 2-12 in the Kilkenny senior final, while St Martins edged James Stephens out by 3-07 to 3-09.

In Clare, Clarecastle scored 0-09 to beat Wolfe Tones 0-07 points at Cusack Park.

Oulart-the Ballagh beat St Martins 1-15 to 1-09, at Wexford Park and Camross drew 1-10 to 0-13 with Castletown at Portlaoise. Damien Culleton nabbed a late Camross goal to send the final to a replay.

In Cork Nemo Rangers were too strong for Muskerry, winning on a 1-14 to 0-7 final scoreline.
