Derry opt for Crozier
Paddy Crozier will manage the Derry senior footballers for the next three seasons after being ratified as Mickey Moran's successor.
Moran's own three-year term ended after Derry's All-Ireland fourth round qualifier defeat to Laois in early August.
Well-known in local football circles, Crozier has managed Dungiven in recent years and the Ballymaguigan clubman was also part of the management team that guided the Derry minors to an All-Ireland title back in 2002.
Crozier, who has yet to confirm his backroom team, fought off stiff competition from 1993 All-Ireland SFC medal winner Damien Barton for the position.
