Tyrone await McMenamin's full hearing
Tyrone went to great lengths to clear suspended defender Ryan McMenamin for last Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Monaghan, and though unsuccessful, they will have another chance on Wednesday night.
Dromore clubman McMenamin, handed a four-week ban for an apparent knee drop on Armagh's John McEntee in the Ulster final replay, missed the 2-14 to 1-7 win over the Mons. The Red Hands management appealed unsuccessfully against the suspension on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Tyrone boss Mickey Harte admitted the process had been "a distraction" in the build-up to the fourth round qualifier, but "every attempt was made to make Ryan available."
A final appeal for McMenamin will be made to the GAA's Disputes Resolution Authority at a full hearing on Wednesday, with Tyrone in quarter-final action against Dublin next Saturday.
The cases of suspended Armagh pair Paul McGrane and Ciaran McKeever, who were found guilty and charged with foul play in the Ulster replay, will also be heard on Wednesday.
Armagh take on Laois in the fourth and final All-Ireland quarter-final.
