Doherty, Muldoon boost Derry ranks

Enda Muldoon and Fergal Doherty have both returned from injury to boost Derry ranks for tomorrow's All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier against Laois.

2004 All-star Muldoon (hamstring) is included at left corner-forward in the Oak Leafers' line-up, which was announced today, while Bellaghy bruiser Doherty (ankle) will man the midfield with Patsy Bradley.

In all, Derry boss Mickey Moran has made four changes, and a positional switch, for the sides' first championship meeting since 2001.

Muldoon starts ahead of Colin Devlin, with Doherty's inclusion shunting Johnny McBride up to left wing forward.

In defence, Gerard O'Kane replaces Michael Kelly at corner back, and Pauric Kelly comes in for injury victim Paul McFlynn (leg) at left wing back. Slaughtneil defender Francis McEldowney has also recovered from a knee ligament worry to take his place on the right flank.

DERRY (SFC v Laois): B Gillis; K McGuckin, K McCloy, G O'Kane; F McEldowney, SM Lockhart, P Kelly; Patsy Bradley, F Doherty; P Murphy, E Bradley, J McBride; M Lynch, Paddy Bradley (capt), E Muldoon.
