Canavan cleared, Mayo's Mortimer banned

Tyrone will be able to call on the services of five-time All-star Peter Canavan for Saturday week's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Monaghan.

Canavan escaped a four-week suspension at last night's meeting of the GAA's Central Disciplinary Committee after he was cleared of the red card he harshly received in last weekend's Ulster final replay.
