Both Francie Bellew (Armagh) and Adrian Sweeney (Donegal) have been cleared of the red cards they received in last Saturday's Ulster SFC quarter-final replay.

Both Francie Bellew (Armagh) and Adrian Sweeney (Donegal) have been cleared of the red cards they received in last Saturday's Ulster SFC quarter-final replay.

The duo, who had their cases heard at a meeting of the GAA's Central Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday night, were facing one-month suspensions but were cleared of the charges in relation to last weekend's hot-tempered clash, based on video evidence.

2003 All-star defender Bellew will be free to play in Armagh's semi-final showdown with Derry this Sunday, while Donegal attacker Sweeney, who also received All-star honours two seasons ago, can take part in Donegal's qualifier against Wicklow on the same day.

Meanwhile, the following players have not been as fortunate, and as a result of recent red cards, will face suspensions of four weeks from the football championship:

Ronan Slattery (Clare) - Clare v Cork, June 12

Kevin Cassidy (Donegal), Paddy Mc Keever (Armagh) - Armagh v Donegal, June 12 Dan Gordon (Down), Ryan Mc Closkey (Fermanagh) - Down v Fermanagh, June 18 Andy Hubbard (Waterford) - Louth v Waterford, June 18

Shane Cooke (Laois), James Lonergan (Kildare) - Laois v Kildare, June 19.
