Former Cork hurler Setanta Ó hAilpín made his long-awaited AFL debut for the Carlton Blues over the weekend.

The 22-year-old, brother of Hurler of the Year Seán Óg, scored a goal with his first touch on his debut in senior Aussie Rules football.

However, it was not all good news as the Melbourne side slumped to a 151-66 Premiership loss to Richmond.

Ó hAilpín joined Carlton Blues in November 2003 after playing on the Cork team that lost the All-Ireland final to Kilkenny two months beforehand.
