Limerick defend their McGrath Cup title against Cork tonight when the sides meet at Newtownshandrum.

The Rebels returned yesterday from a week-long training camp in the Spanish resort of La Manga.

Boss Billy Morgan is expected to give some newcomers a chance to impress, but they will be bolstered by experienced players - due to the fact that the competition is now knockout and Morgan and his selectors have stated they wish to get as many games as possible.

Limerick, who comprehensively defeated Waterford IT in the preliminary round, will again be without team captain Muiris Gavin (who is on his honeymoon) Jason Stokes, Stephen Lucey and Seamus O’Donnell, who are out with injury.

In today's other game, Cork IT face their city rivals UCC at the Mardyke at 1pm.

Proceeds from the games will be donated to the Asian Disaster Fund. The teams have also agreed to go donate their expenses to the fund.
