Ó Sé delighted at Davitt return
Westmeath boss Páidí Ó Sé has told of his delight that defender James Davitt has agreed to return to the Lakes County panel.
Davitt has resumed training and is available for Sunday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final, when Louth will host Westmeath in Drogheda.
Last week, Davitt decided to opt out for the forthcoming season, but after talks with the player, he returned to training.
Ó Sé said: "James Davitt is back training, and that's obviously great news for us. It's a relief because there's a lot of players that have other commitments at the minute, what with exams and everything. But we're quite confident that as time goes by we'll have all our players back."
Ó Sé also hinted at a return to action for Martin Flanagan, who missed last year's Leinster championship-winning campaign with an ankle injury.
He said: "I wouldn't be ruling out a return for Martin Flanagan at all. We all know he's a fine player ... Martin's match fitness would be the problem but I'm certainly not ruling him out of the equation."
