Flynn named Waterford Hurler of the Year
Waterford's Paul Flynn has been honoured with the County Hurler of the Year award.
The scoring ace had a superb year, culminating in the man of the match award in the All-Ireland semi-final, even though he was on the losing side.
The Ballygunner man single-handedly kept the Decies in touch with Kilkenny, scoring 13 points.
Flynn was finally awarded an All Star this year, after being nominated five times.
Flynn has won the county award previously, and beat off competition from Decies skipper Ken McGrath and Tony Browne.
The football honour went to Stradbally skipper Ger Power, who led his team to a fourth consecutive SFC title and the subsequent Munster club championship run to the final.
