Carlow set to name new football boss tomorrow

Carlow's county board is expected to reveal their new football manager tomorrow.

Negotiations are thought to be finalised and the announcement is being delayed by chairman Eddie Byrne's stay in hospital for a knee operation.

Sources suggest the new manager is an outsider with prior inter-county experience. Former Dublin goalkeeper John O'Leary has been linked with the post.

O'Leary is a former Dublin selector, has previously managed Wicklow and guided Dublin's Ladies footballers to the All-Ireland final this year.
