Seán Óg set to become Cork captain

Cork County hurling champions Na Piarsaigh, have nominated Seán Óg Ó hAilpín as the Cork senior hurling captain for the 2005 season, the Evening Echo newspaper reported today.

The paper said a source close to the club confirmed the popular star would be the club’s choice for the position.

It also confirmed Joe O’Leary, manager of the Na Piarsaigh team this year, is being forwarded as a Cork senior selector for the 2005 season.
