Laois deny O'Dwyer resignation rumours
The Laois county board has dismissed reports that Mick O’Dwyer had resigned as the county's football boss after a meeting with players on Saturday night.
However, O'Moore County sources have expressed their doubts that the Kerry native will continue at the helm, despite his re-appointment.
Sources are citing the vacant Dublin job as the reason for the confusion. O'Dwyer has said in the past he would relish the opportunity to manage the Metropolitans.
Several players cannot return to training as quickly as O'Dwyer would like, due to club commitments.
It was claimed he resigned after Saturday night's meeting after expressing his frustration that he cannot get the 2005 training campaign underway as soon as he anticipated.
