Galway look to restore pride against Cork

Cork meet Galway in the first Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland senior camogie semi-final at Nowlan Park today, in a curtain-raiser to the second decider between Tipp and Wexford.

And Galway are looking to restore some pride, and possibly gain revenge, for their humbling by Cork a year ago.

However, the Tribeswomen's junior team won the All-Ireland last year and many have joined the senior team's ranks, but Galway have injuries and Therese Maher is relegated to the bench, having picked up a wrist injury in a challenge game.

Cork have a few new faces this year, including netminder Aoife Murray, defenders Rosarie Holland and Rena Buckley and full-forward Emer Watson.

The Rebels are highly fancied to advance to this year's final.

CORK: A Murray; J O’Callaghan, R Holland, S Dunlea; P O’Connor, M O’Connor, R Buckley; V Harris, G O’Connor; R Moloney, E Dillon, J O’Leary; E Burke, E Watson, C Desmond.

GALWAY: S Earner; M Harkin Carr, S Cahalan, L Flynn; L Lally, A Kelly, S Keane; A Lynskey, C Glennon; O Kilkenny, B Hanney, A Hillary; L Kavanagh, A M Hayes, C Kelly.
