Kerry make it two in a row
Kerry 3-10 Limerick 2-09, Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney, 3.30pm
Kerry bagged consecutive Munster SFC final wins over a valiant Limerick side at Killarney's Fitzgerald Stadium this afternoon, as An Ghaeltacht forward Dara O Cinnéide inspired them to a 3-10 to 2-09 replay victory.
O Cinnéide hit an unstoppable 1-07, including the first half injury time penalty that drew the sides level for the first time, for the Kingdom's 70th Munster crown.
Earlier Stephen Kelly had volleyed home a shock first minute goal for the visitors, and despite a second from the penalty spot from Eoin Keating on 58 minutes, Limerick fell short of a first senior provincial title since 1896.
Eoin Brosnan and Tomas Ó Sé were on the mark for Kerry's other goals on 30 and 43 minutes respectively. The game was also marked by the strict refereeing of Galway official Michael Curley, who brandished nine yellow cards in all.
