Mayo v Roscommon, Castlebar, 2pm.

The Connacht SFC final at Castlebar today is not unlike its Leinster equivalent, in that the managers on both sides are great friends.

Roscommon manager Tommy Carr, and his Mayo counterpart, John Maughan first met in the defence forces and played Sigerson and Army football together.

Both were best men at each other's wedding - but the friends will become enemies as soon as the ball is thrown in today.

Having disposed of provincial favourites Galway in the semi-final, Mayo are favourites to take the title and have made one change from the side that ousted the Tribesmen.

David Brady, who came on to good effect at midfield in that win, retains his place. Marty McNicholas drops to the bench and James Gill moves from midfield to right half-forward.

Meanwhile, Tommy Carr has made two changes to the Roscommon side that defeated Leitrim in the other semi-final.

John Tiernan and Jonathon Dunning, who were introduced in the tie, retain their places.

Tiernan is chosen at left half-forward instead of Derek Connellan and Dunning goes in at right corner-forward instead of Ger Heneghan.

Paul Noone remains on the treatment table, so Andy McPadden continues in his left half-back berth.
