Kerry and Tipp await GAC punishment decision

The GAC has postponed a decision on the punishment for Tipperary and Kerry for failing to fulfil recent All-Ireland qualifier fixtures.

The matter was discussed at yesterday's GAC meeting, but a decision was not made and it is believed the issue will be referred to the GAA's Management Committee, who are due to meet the week after next.

The Tipperary footballers pulled out of their All-Ireland qualifier tie against Fermanagh when the

players backed manager Andy Shortall and his selectors, who resigned in a row over club games.

The Kerry hurling team withdrew from the All-Ireland qualifiers, citing a lack of interest from the players.
