Sigerson Cup to be held in Dundalk next year

Dundalk Institute of Technology will host next year's Sigerson and Trench Cups.

The competition goes to Dundalk IT for the first time and the college is to use the contest to unveil its

new €3m playing pitches.

The institute will also host a cultural festival during the Colleges football and hurling competitions.

Many Allstars and All-Ireland winners passed through Dundalk IT, including Cavan's Dermot McCabe and Meath's Robbie O'Malley.
