GPA slams wording of Lucozade ad campaign
The Gaelic Players Association has hit out at the wording of a Lucozade advertising campaign which suggested that their product is the favourite drink of GAA players.
The GPA struck their own high profile deal with Club Energise last August and it has yielded high returns since.
Farrell said: "It was positive to witness Lucozade's investment in county boards as a reaction to the success of Club Energise, but it was widely accepted by players and supporters that this was nothing more than an attempt by the English brand to create a false perception of player endorsement on the cheap."
