Fennin confident of Championship return

Kildare's star forward Tadhg Fennin is confident he'll be fit to take his place for the Lillywhites' Leinster SFC opener against Wexford or Louth on June 6.

The brilliant forward has been out for weeks with an ankle injury he sustained during Kildare's productive NFL campaign.

However, he came through a challenge game at the weekend after coming on as a sub in the league semi-final and said: "Things are looking okay. I'll be fine for the Leinster championship all going to plan."
