Kerry boss Leahy blasts Portaferry venue choice

Kerry hurling boss Maurice Leahy has slammed the decision to choose Portaferry as the venue for Sunday's NHL clash.

Kerry are keen to keep their promotion charge on course and Leahy is disappointed that they'll have to face another long haul trip north.

Leahy said: "This is the third year in a row that we are being asked to travel to Down.

"You are talking about a nine-hour journey over the Easter weekend."
