KILKENNY 1-10 WATERFORD 0-15

Despite scoring the game’s only goal through full forward Eddie Brennan, double double champions Kilkenny lost out on a score line of 1-10 to 0-15 to visitors’ Waterford, as they began their NHL defence at Nowlan Park.
