Tipp star Curran to miss majority of league campaign

Tipperary hurling defender Paul Curran will miss the majority of the upcoming National Hurling League because of college commitments which will take him to the USA.

Curran, who ably deputised in the full-back line for the Premier County last year, flew out of Shannon Airport on Monday and will miss almost the entire NFL campaign which begins next month.
