All-star hurler Brendan Cummins is set to renew his role as a Tipperary dual player having agreed to play football in the new year.

Cummins last played championship football during their run to the 2001 Munster final but the Ballybacon-Grange man has indicated he wants to be part of Andy Shortall's new panel.

The hurling goalkeeper lined out for the footballers in a challenge game at the weekend and scored 0-3 in a narrow win over the University of Limerick.
