Fallon retires from Galway team

Galway star Ja Fallon has dropped a bombshell on his county management team by announcing his retirement from inter-county football.

The 1998 Player of the Year has been plagued by injuries in recent years and his first team opportunities were largely restricted.

Fallon will continue to play for club side Tuam Stars but will leave a massive gap in the half-forwards where he's starred since 1991.
