Gaelic Grounds on track to host top ties
Limerick's chief GAA venue, the Gaelic Grounds, is on course to host a number of high profile games next season following extensive redevelopment work at the city venue that has brought it up to an ultra modern standard.
The total amount spent on bringing the venue up to the present standard was €12m and the stadium now has the capacity to hold 50,000 spectators with nearly half of that total seated.
Limerick secretary James Harting said: "It is too late for Limerick to be granted any high profile games this season but that we will definitely be in the ring for the 2004 season."
