Bank of Ireland SFC qualifier Round 4

Roscommon v Kildare, Portlaoise, Roscommon, 6.15pm

Roscommon and Kildare meet in the football qualifiers for the first time ever at Portlaoise, this evening.

The meeting of the counties is sure to attract a big crowd to O'Moore Park, home of recently-crowned Leinster champions, Laois.

Leinster finalists Kildare failed to make it to the All-Ireland quarter-finals in each of the last two years while Roscommon qualified as Connacht champions in 2001 but lost to Galway.

Roscommon, who lost to Galway in the Connacht quarter-final, have won three qualifiers in dramatic circumstances, beating Cork and Leitrim by a point each and going to extra-time before dismissing Offaly's challenge.
