Nolan demands Barry inquest

Kildare boss Padraig Nolan has called on the GAA's administrators to give suspended midfielder Alan Barry an immediate hearing and put him out of his Leinster final heartache.

Kildare play Roscommon in the qualifiers on Saturday night but face the prospect of not having Barry on board following his dismissal against Laois on Sunday, his second in 48 weeks which carries a two week ban.

However Nolan said: "We are convinced that we can prove the second yellow card which led to his sending off last Sunday was not warranted. The video shows clearly that he shouldn't have been booked...but time is running out."
