Quane out for Limerick

Limerick football boss Liam Kearns has confirmed that star midfielder John Quane will not start in the Munster final against Kerry on Sunday.

But speaking at the Bank of Ireland headquarters the Kerry man said he plans to spring the player from the bench at some stage admitting: "He'll probably come into the action at some point.

"It's a huge blow not to have him starting because the loss of John to us would be like the loss of Dara O Sé to Kerry. He's that significant a factor in our plans."
