Quane may lose fitness fight
Experienced midfielder John Quane has almost definitely been ruled out of Sunday's Munster football final clash with Kerry following an ankle injury.
Quane played against Clare in the championship but aggravated the injury in a recent challenge game prompting boss Liam Kearns to admit: "We won't start him unless he's fully fit.
"He'll be a huge loss to us if he fails to line out, as we'll need all our big name players for this one.
"He did some light jogging at the weekend, but at this point in time he is given little chance of starting."
Quane is the only member of the Limerick squad to have been involved in the country's last Munster final appearance 12 years ago.
"I would love to play some part at least in the game," said Quane.
