Browne ensures Premier passage

Ace forward Declan Browne turned in another Allstar performance to book Tipperary’s place in the Munster SFC semi-final against Kerry.

Full-forward Browne was the Tipp hero weighing in with 11 points and leading by example up front.

Still, there was nothing in it at the break at 0-07 to 1-04, and Waterford made life difficult after the interval.

A purple patch that yielded seven points in 15 minutes for Waterford had the scores on level terms with 10 minutes to go.

But Browne was up to his old tricks, converting two late frees to seal a deserved Premier win.
