Tipp star Leahy facing surgery on knee injury
Tipperary hurler John Leahy is due to undergo surgery today after damaging ligaments in his left knee during training on Wednesday.
Leahy, who only returned to the Tipp line-up towards the end of last weekend’s league game against Galway, fell awkwardly and could now miss much of the county’s championship campaign.
The Mullinahone veteran had been out of action for some time after suffering major cruciate ligament damage to his other knee in a match against Clare two years ago.
