Rabbitte may return for championship

Galway hurling veteran Joe Rabbitte may return to aid the Tribesmen's championship challenge despite not featuring for his county this year.

Rabbitte was on club duty with Athenry in the early part of the year but still hasn't rejoined the county panel.

Galway boss Conor Hayes said: "We might see him back yet. It could well be within the next few weeks but we just don't know what his plans are yet."
