Armagh go through despite defeat
Kerry 1-13 Armagh 2-08
An injury-time Marc O Se goal wasn't enough to send Kerry through to the Allianz National Football League semi-finals, as they defeated All-Ireland champions Armagh at Austin Stack Park.
Fourteen-man Armagh's fate rested in the hands of other results, while Kerry now focus on the Championship.
Two first-half goals, against the run of play, for Martin O'Rourke and Stephen McDonnell, handed Armagh the initiative and they led by two points at the break.
Paidi O Se's side, needing to win by eight points, rallied in the second half and a Dara O'Cinneide free saw the sides level at 2-5 to 0-11.
The tide turned in the Kingdom's favour with the dismissal of Armagh captain Kieran McGeeney, sent to the line after a foul on Declan Quill for his second bookable offence.
Substitute Seamus Moynihan pointed to level the sides again, but Stephen McDonnell restored Armagh's one-point lead going into the closing stages.
Marc O Se's injury-time goal sealed the Kingdom's win, but wasn't enough to see them advance to the latter stages of the league.
