Sligo/Kildare dispute deferred to GAC

A decision on the dispute surrounding Sligo and Kildare's infamous Div 1B league clash has been deferred to the next meeting of the GAC.

Kildare were stripped off the points for beating Sligo when the losers pointed out that Kildare had submitted an inadequate team-sheet to the referee.

A replay of the game is now a likely outcome though if Kildare beat Laois on Sunday they may be happy to settle for survival in division one.
