Kilkenny victorious in league opener

All-Ireland champions Kilkenny have begun the defence of their National Hurling League title with a victory over Waterford at Walsh Park yesterday.

Allstar forward DJ Carey helped the Cats to a comprehensive 4-11 to 0-12 win in the Division 1A game.
