Longford GAA officials are said they are worried about a move to open up club grounds to soccer and other sports in contravention of Rule 42.

A meeting is believed to be on the cards for later this week to discuss the St Mary's club's desire to lease out their pitch during the summer to a soccer camp.

Longford chairman Martin Skelly said: "If there is a breach of rule 42 we would not be happy - but it's early days. We hope to meet them and thrash the whole thing out."
