Gaelic Players Association chief Dessie Farrell has poured cold water on speculation about a link-up with the official Players' Committee.

Gaelic Players Association chief Dessie Farrell has poured cold water on speculation about a link-up with the official Players' Committee.

Farrell admitted this week the idea would be discussed as Saturday's AGM in Dublin but now says that's as far as it will go.

He said: "We've guarded our independence zealously up to now and it is not something we intend relinquishing lightly, if at all."
