Offaly duo to play on for McNamara

Offaly veterans Brian Whelahan and Johnny Pilkington have made themselves available to new county manager Mike McNamara for selection in the new year.

The pair along with county stars like Joe Errity were expected to call it a day but have informed McNamara of their intention to line out in the new year.

Kevin Martin will also commit to another season but Hubert Rigney has not decided whether or not to give it another go.

McNamara has already met with the senior players and their decisions to stay on ranks as an early coup.
