Power appointed Tipp boss

Former Tipperary senior hurler Seamus Power has been appointed Manager of the U21 hurling side for the coming year.

Power who starred with the county in the barren years of the mid-eighties has been involved in coaching with a number of clubs in the county including his native Boherlahan-Dualla.

A hurley maker of note he takes over from former Allstar Noel Sheehy as manager and will be accompanied by Eugene Ryan (Moneygall), son of former GAA President Seamus O'Riain, and Jackie Bolger (Mullinahone).
