Talismanic Galway skipper Padraig Joyce is believed to be on the verge of quitting the county team following the Killererin saga this summer.

Killererin, Joyce's club, were thrown out of the championship after numerous appeals for failing to turn out for extra-time in a club game against Carraroe.
