Kernan wins Bass Ulster GAA merit award

Armagh boss Joe Kernan has been handed the Bass Ulster GAA Merit Award for September following his county's first ever All-Ireland football win.

Armagh shocked favourites Kerry with a 1-12 to 0-14 win at Croke Park to seal their first ever win at the level.

Kernan was away on holidays but his son, Aaron, picked up the award on his behalf in the Ulster brewery.
