GAA: Meath player hit by 8 week ban

Meath half-back Paddy Reynolds has been handed down an eight-week ban from the Games Administration Committee for his sending off against Kildare in the Leinster Football semi-final.

Reynolds received a red card in the game against Kildare for an incident in which Lilywhite star Ken Doyle was shown a second yellow.

Reynold’s ban is backdated to June 26th and in his absence that highly experienced Enda McManus could be the man to replace him, possibly at centre-back, with Hank Traynor moving the the wing.

Manager Sean Boylan names his side tonight, as does his Dublin counterpart Tommy Carr.
