GAA: Cavan go through to Ulster final
On one of the hottest days of the Championship season, so far, Cavan went through to the Ulster Football Final where they’ll face Tyrone after their lacklustre win over Monaghan.
In a game which saw the sides go level on four occasions, Cavan beat the Farney men by two points, 0-13 to 0-11.
Monaghan trailed Cavan by two points at half-time and two point-blank misses at the goalmouth denied them the opportunity to go forward to their first final in over 15 years.
In the end, Cavan clocked up 13 wides, which will make them clear underdogs when they face Tyrone in July.
Monaghan are now through to the qualifying stages under the new GAA football system.
