GAA: Longford GAA backs Town's FAI Cup challenge

The Longford GAA County Board has weighed in behind Longford Town's bid to bring home the FAI Cup by arranging for all this weekend's fixtures in the county to be played on Saturday.

The Town take on Bohemians at Dalymount Park this Sunday.

County Board Chairman Maurice Skelly said the decision had been taken to accommodate the sporting community in Longford, many of whom are supporters of both the Town and the county's Gaelic footballers.
