Hurling: Tipp confirm semi-final place

Tipperary confirmed their qualification for the Allianz National Hurling League semi-final with a comprehensive victory over Laois at O'Moore Park in

a dull affair.

Tipp played wind-assisted in the first half and led from start to finish with Declan Ryan showing the way.

He was at the centre of all that was good about Tipp's display and grabbed two points as did Noel Morris and Tommy Dunne.

Eugene O'Neill shot three for Tipp.

A goal in the sixth minute from Declan Ryan sent Tipp further into the lead and even though Laois performed better in the second half, they never threatened the victors.

Tipp's display was marred by the dismissal of Noel Morris three minutes into

injury time.
