Tipperary minor hurling boss Liam Cahill has moved to secure the services of four dual players for the remainder of the season.

Colin English, Stephen Nolan, John Lyons, and Michael Purcell were members of the county’s minor football set-up in 2016 but the quartet are now free to play hurling after an early championship exit.

The minor footballers were dumped out of the Munster championship by Limerick in April, despite having contested provincial and All-Ireland finals last year.
