Roscommon expect tough outing against Leitrim

Roscommon selector Liam McHale believes Leitrim are the most dogged county in this year’s championship and won’t stand on ceremony if they give them the opportunities at Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday.

Roscommon survived a massive scare at Gaelic Park a few weeks ago when they stuttered to a 1-15 to 0-17 victory over New York in the preliminary round of the Connacht championship.

A huge improvement is expected for this weekend’s quarter-final clash with their Division 4 neighbours. However, McHale says they will be in for another tough outing against Shane Ward’s side at Páirc Sean Mac Diarmaida.
