In section B, Galway sharpshooter Jason Flynn shot 11 points for Tommy Larkins, as they beat Beagh 0-14 to 0-13. Shane Maloney hit 1-7 for Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry, and Paul Gordon got the other goal, in a 2-22 to 0-9 win over Carnmore.
Niall Mannion scored 1-4 for Moycullen but Craig Kennedy bagged a goal for Abbeyknockmoy, in their 1-17 to 1-14 win. Cathal Dervan and Finian Coone scored the goals for Mullagh, in their 2-18 to 0-15 win against Athenry. Iomar Creaven grabbed the winning goal for Killimordaly as they beat Kiltormer 1-18 to 0-13.
